Shopping for DG

Shopping for a cartoon character is a lot easier than shopping for real people. There is no on-line ordering and waiting for delivery and returns and all that stuff. I just decide what I want and draw it into the cartoon.

So there ya go. Easy peasy.

DG’s Christmas Wishlist

Since DG is back in the spirit of the season I asked him what he wants for Christmas.

Oh, c’mon. It can’t be that difficult. What do you want?

Just come up with something.

Really? Do they even make those anymore?

DG is Santa Again

DG decided that he isn’t going to sell his Beanie Babies after all. He likes them just as they are. Excellent choice.

Now he is back into the spirit of Christmas, so he went off to try on his Santa Suit.

DG in santa suit "Waddaya think? Pretty cool hunh?"

Looks good, but it might be a bit dodgy trying to explain why Santa has a shiner.

Let’s hope so.

Not So Collectible

It turns out that DG does, in fact, have a closet full of Beanie Babies.

You do realize, don’t you, that when you take them out of the box their value drops significantly?

Oh, and where are the tags? If they don’t have their original tags, they are pretty much worthless.

Sigh.

Collectibles

DG has outdone himself this time, fighting over a useless old toy.

DG: Cabbage Patch Kids are now collectibles.... and worth money.

Ha! Even the originals are only worth a couple hundred bucks. I suppose that next you are going to tell me you have a closet full of Beanie Babies. Ha!

Seriously? Please tell me that you don’t have a closet full of Beanie Babies!

DG still whistling.

Yikes!

Shopping

Now that Thanksgiving is over, DG is ready to go Christmas shopping.

Holy cow! What happened to you?

DG: Black Eye Friday

Wow! But did it pay off? Did you get what you were after?

Seriously? A Cabbage Patch doll? Where were you shopping, the Smithsonian?

Thankful For

Thanksgiving is next week. So I asked DG what he is thankful for.

DG: For putting my hands back the way they are supposed to be?

C’mon, get serious.

What are you thankful for?

DG: Um.... Eggnog?

OK. We’ll settle for that. Simple pleasures.

How Many Fingers

In our previous post, DG was complaining about having only three fingers on his hand to draw turkeys with. So I thought I would correct that problem. Here he is with four fingers just like everybody else.

Dg frowning at hands with four fingers.

Kinda funny looking isn’t it?

How many fingers would you like to have? Here you are with 9 fingers on each hand.

DG freaking out with 9 fingers on each hand.

Add in your thumbs, and it makes counting to ten a lot easier.

OK. Enough punishment. Here you are back to normal.

DG smiling, with his three fingered hands back.

Sometimes a simple demonstration is all it takes.

Thanksgiving

Now that we are past Veterans Day, Thanksgiving is looming large. So I thought that I would draw a picture of a turkey.

Hand tracing turkey
DG: Seriously? a hand-tracing turkey? How old are you, 10. Anybody can do that.. here's mine.
DG hand tracing turkey

Yeah, but my turkey has four fingers, and yours has only three fingers, so mine’s better.

DG: That's because you draw me that way. No fair.
