In the previous installement of this journey I put a baffle over the steam hole in the steam box to see if that will help get rid of the egg shape I have been getting. This week, I bent another maple board using my upgraded steam box.
OK. So same story as always. I stoked it up and steamed it and then I popped it out and bent it. Here are the numbers:
- Start the steamer at 12:46
- Full steam and insert board at 13:16 - 30 minutes to start
- Turn the board over at 13:31 - 15 minutes on first side
- Pull out and bend 13:46 - 15 minutes on the second side.

Wow.
I don't see any eggy points on this one. I looks like it has wrapped evenly around the form. I don't see any cracks or splits either. I think I might have bent a good banjo hoop.
