The next day I unclamped the board to see what I have made. It looks like it is about the correct size this time. I think that the 11" form is going to work. I could spring this one out into a 13" hoop if I had a clean bend.

That egg shape is bothering me though. There is something causing that. It's like the wood is weaker in that particular place when I bend it.

Maybe it is the oak that is causing this. I should go back to maple and see if I can do better.
