This finish is not going very well. I do not like it. The finish is full of lumps and bumps. Not nice. I guess that is debris from the sandpaper or the steel wool or something. I am not sure what to do at this point. There are rough spots on the wood as well. My finger is pointing at a dry spot on the tip of the tailpiece.

I put another coat of oil on the banjo and put it aside to look at it again later. Maybe if I look at it from farther away tomorrow it will look better.
